Hello World!

This is my very first blog post! I want to thank you all so much for stopping by. There are so many things to keep up with as a business owner. I will try to use this space as much as possible but I think in the future I will use it to show full galleries.

While you are here I want to introduce myself!

I am Brianna and I started taking photos for people around 6 years ago. It has been an amazing journey. Before I started to call myself a photographer I loved taking photos around the house when I was a kid. Every time my papaw had the video recorder out I was there either in front of the lens or snatching it up and making my own videos! I took the family camera and just clicked away. I found a polaroid and was in absolute awe. I remember every birthday or Christmas I would ask for a new camera and eventually in 2015 I got my first DSLR which is when I started my career.

What makes my approach special.

What makes my work special is that while I love photographing people and things for the memory sake, I love art. I look at tones, colors, composition. I will watch a movie and pay attention to things like color grading, what hue people’s skin is, if the grass has more blue or yellow to it. I love looking at old film photos.

To tie things together.

Here is one of my favorite photos. Yes, that is me on my first birthday! I think you can figure out how I became so familiar with cameras! I love whoever took this. I would assume maybe my mom since I don’t see her here. These photos are so special to me because everyone will have basically the same photo of me, but only one person will have this one. This perspective shows the most important things, family and love. A lot of the people you see here are no longer around. Photos like this are so so so important.
